Hazim Bangwar was born on December 30, 1993, in Karachi, Pakistan. At the age of day 6 he moved to New York where he attended Midwood High School. His mother, Feroze Akbar, is from Iraq and is an architect and his father, Ali Akbar Bangwar has served as a Police General D.I.G in Pakistan. He grew up in New York and later moved to Pakistan for 3 years before moving to London for 6 years where he finished his first degree in Fashion Design & Marketing from AIU London and later a second degree LLB from University from London. In 2024 Hazim Bangwar got accepted to Harvard University for Masters Degree in Global Development Practice.
During his academic days in London Hazim spent most of his free time in the studios where he grew fond of creating music. His demos were heard by Evan Rogers and later shipped out to Interscope Records where Jay Brown, an A&R executive at the record label, was one of the first to hear the demo. After Jimmy Lovine the CEO at interscope Records heard the demo, he signed Hazim for a 2 year deal. In 2013 Hazim Released his first mix-tape under Interscope records “One Man Army” with the leading single “Run Em’ which later served many artists including Havana Brown. The mix-tape was promoted to concerts held in US and UK both.
Later in 2014 Hazim Bangwar started getting recognition for his hip-hop writing skills. Having written from artists such as Jessie J, Future, Ciara, Juelz, T-Pain, Jason Derulo and Nicki Minaj, he was offered a deal by Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr under Young Money Entertainment as a singer/songwriter.
After writing for various artists, in November 2019 Hazim released his first single titled "Haram" which within a week charted on international music charts, scoring #5 in South Korea, #1 in Hungry, #2 in Egypt and #5 in India, making Hazim the first Pakistani singer to reach international charts with an English song. Following this Hazim became the face of 3 major companies as an ambassador. In February 2020 Hazim released his second song "Hell Ya" which earned him a #1 in Ghana music charts, #2 in France, #1 in South Korea, and #1 in Austria. In 2021 Hazim released his first Urdu song "Tujhko Bhulaya" along with a music video which earned him a national recognition.
In 2022, his long awaited album "Play with Fire" was released, which also earned positions on international charts.
In midst of all this in 2019 Hazim Bangwar qualified the SPSC Examination and became a PMS Officer, and currently serves as an Assistant Commissioner in Karachi Central.
